These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and AOE2.GG (“AOE2.GG”, “we”, “us” and terms of similar meaning). We provide this website, aoe2.gg (the “Site”), to you subject to these Terms. In these Terms we describe users of the Site, whether a paying subscriber or not, as “Users”.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site. By accessing, using or browsing the Site, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms in their entirety, you may not use the Site.

The Site is intended for use only by persons who are at least 18 years of age, or who otherwise have valid parental or guardian consent and are legally able to enter into these Terms in their country of residence and in the country from which they access the Site.

The various services we provide through the Site (collectively, “Services”) are for your own use only. You may not resell, lease or provide them in any other way to anyone else.

2. About AOE2.GG

AOE2.GG is an independent online platform and community that provides enhanced statistics and data for active players of “Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition”.

When subscribing to our paid memberships such as Wololo Pro or higher, you may unlock cosmetic upgrades and additional features and tools for streamers, tournament organisers or players.

3. Privacy Policy

Please refer to our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy-policy for information on how we collect, use and disclose personal data and related information. By using the Site, you agree to our collection, use and disclosure of information in accordance with that policy.

4. Registration Data

4.1

If you register for an account on the Site, you agree to:

  • provide accurate, current and complete information as may be prompted by any registration forms on the Site;
  • maintain the security of your password;
  • maintain and promptly update your information so it remains accurate, current and complete;
  • accept all risks of unauthorised access to your registration data and any other information you provide to the Site;
  • use this Site for personal purposes and not for resale; and
  • not sell, trade or transfer your account to another person, or access AOE2.GG by any means other than through the public interface we provide.

4.2

You are responsible for all activity on your account. If you forget your login information and wish to retrieve it, you may be directed to a password recovery process using the email address associated with the account.

4.3

You agree that you are solely responsible for any breach of your obligations under these Terms and for the consequences of such breach, including any loss or damage AOE2.GG may suffer. If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you agree to notify us immediately at support[at]aoe2.gg.

5. Purchases

5.1

Purchases made through the Site may be processed by a third-party payment processor, such as Paddle. Such providers may collect and process billing, payment and identity information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their practices.

We may receive limited purchase-related information from payment processors, such as transaction dates, amounts and products purchased, and may associate that information with your account or email address for support, billing and service administration.

5.2

AOE2.GG may offer premium subscriptions or other paid services. Prices may change from time to time. Any price change will take effect on a future billing cycle after notice is posted on the Site or otherwise communicated to you.

5.3

By upgrading to a paid membership or subscription, you authorise us and/or our payment processor to charge the applicable fees for your initial billing period and any recurring renewal period until cancelled.

5.4

You may update your payment method or manage your subscription at /settings/subscription. Following cancellation, your paid features may remain active until the end of the current prepaid billing period.

5.5

You remain responsible for any unpaid amounts. If we cannot collect payment, we may suspend or terminate access to the relevant paid features or to your account.

6. Refund Policy

6.1

In general, membership fees and similar charges are non-refundable. From time to time, we may choose to provide a refund, partial refund or service credit at our sole discretion, but such decisions do not create any obligation to do so in the future.

6.2

We may consider refunds in circumstances such as:

  • technical issues that materially prevent access to purchased features and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period; or
  • unauthorised transactions where there is evidence of account misuse or payment fraud.

6.3

To request a refund, contact support[at]aoe2.gg with relevant details, including dates, account information and any supporting screenshots or error messages.

6.4

Approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable time, subject to the processing times of the payment provider and your financial institution.

7.1

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services and content. You use such links and third-party services at your own risk. AOE2.GG does not control and is not responsible for third-party sites or content.

7.2

When you leave the Site, our Terms no longer apply. You should review the applicable terms, privacy policies and practices of any third-party site or provider you use.

8. Advertisements and Promotions

8.1

We may display advertisements or promotions from third parties. Any dealings, promotions, or transactions between you and those third parties are solely between you and them, and we are not responsible for any resulting loss or damage.

AOE2.GG uses certain content related to Age of Empires II and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition in accordance with Microsoft's Game Content Usage Rules. AOE2.GG is an independent creation and is not officially endorsed by or affiliated with Microsoft.

THE SITE, THE CONTENT AND THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO YOU “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AOE2.GG DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9.2 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AOE2.GG and its directors, officers, employees and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses arising out of or connected with your use of the Site or Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

10. Applicable Law and Disputes

10.1

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, the Site or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

10.2

Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support[at]aoe2.gg and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith.

10.3

Subject to applicable law, the courts of Singapore shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the Site or the Services.

11. Termination / Modification of Licence and Site Offering

11.1

We may, without notice and at our sole discretion, suspend, restrict or terminate your access to all or part of the Site or Services, or modify, suspend or discontinue any part of them.

11.2 Termination of Terms

We may terminate these Terms and your use of the Site at any time. You may stop using the Site at any time. If your account is deactivated, any prepaid premium services may remain active only until the end of the applicable paid term, unless suspended earlier for misuse or non-payment.

11.3 Electronic Contracting and Notice

Your use of the Site and/or registration for an account constitutes your electronic acceptance of these Terms and your consent to receive notices electronically where permitted by law.

12. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AOE2.GG regarding your use of the Site.

13. Changes to Terms of Use

13.1

We may modify these Terms or any policy or guideline related to the Site at any time in our sole discretion. Unless otherwise stated, changes become effective when posted on the Site.

13.2

You should review these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
